Jan graduated in 1969 from the technical Glass Blowing Institute in the Czech Republic. For the next 15 years, he worked with best glass masters in the Czech Republic.

In 1987 he opened his own glass studio Krystyna Glass Ltd in Sechelt, Canada.

Each piece is Jan's original design, and is created free hand, without a mold. All pieces are signed by Jan Benda and carefully inspected to ensure high quality workmanship.
